Bar/Retail Associate - Elora Distilling Company (March 24, 2023)

Elora Distilling Company is an award winning grain to glass distillery located in picturesque Elora, Ontario founded in 2020. We ferment, distill, blend, and package on site a variety of spirits and liqueurs with an emphasis on using local ingredients whenever possible. In 3 short years, we have won 2 gold medals at the Canadian Craft Distilling Awards and created an inviting space where guests can enjoy a cocktail in the Royal Room or at the King George Bar and Patio.

The Elora Distilling Company is hiring Bar/Retail associates to join our growing team!

Candidates will work within a bustling retail space as well as a spectacular patio and cocktail lounge. Responsibilities include giving excellent customer service to guests in the retail store as well as serving cocktails and small eats in the Royal Room and patio at the King George Bar.

Successful candidates will:

• Have experience in a retail or hospitality setting (1 year experience preferred but not necessary)
• Have an interest in spirits and cocktails
• Be passionate about providing an excellent guest experience
• Be Smart Serve Certified
• Have great communication skills
• Posses a willingness to learn new skills
• Have the ability to multitask
• Be comfortable working in both hot and cold environments
• Be able to carry up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.
• Comply with internal health & safety, COVID protocol, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Be of legal drinking age (19+)

Responsibilities include:

• Serving cocktails and small eats to guests
• Assist with daily bar and retail inventory
• Managing a till
• Assisting with booking reservations, distillery tours and participating in events
• Daily cleaning and organizational tasks
• Selling manufactured products to the public
• Working at Farmer’s Markets and outside events

 Salary - $17/hr + tips

Schedule: full time and part time available (must be available min. 3 shifts/week)

* Evenings, weekends and holidays availability a must

Multiple positions available ranging from 15-40 hrs/week
